Since 2013, Mashup Rock & Roll Musical has made original theatre anywhere that would have us — and a few places that barely would. In 2024, this community put its money where our loud mouths are, and together we turned a retail space at The Cherryland Center into a 92-seat theatre with riser seating.
We named it The MATCH: small thing, big fire.

Mashup has told stories that celebrate and question the world since 2013 — inclusion isn’t a page on our website, it’s the reason the company exists. The MATCH continues that: a stage where queer artists headline, not guest-star, and an audience where nobody has to shrink.
The MATCH is owned and operated by Mashup Rock & Roll Musical, a 501(c)(3) non-profit. Weird theatre built this room — now we’re holding the door open for everyone else’s.
